2011 - 2012 Executive Board

The following have been elected, or declared elected as Executive Board Officers, in compliance with Article 5, Section 1-8 of the IAFF Local Union Constitution & By-Laws. The Ballot Box voting took place on June 26, 27 and 28, 2011. These Executive Board Office terms shall become effective July 1, 2011. All Executive Board Officials shall hold office for one year except for the Secretary/Treasurer & Union President, which will be a two-year term. (According to Article 5, Section 5 of the by-laws: "If there is only one candidate for a given office, such candidate shall be declared elected".)

Executive Board Meets to Discuss Special Election Possibility

November 24, 2010 - The Executive Board met briefly this morning to discuss the possible choice of Norman's City Council opting to take advantage of a special election after their failed attempt during negotiations and subsequent loss as a result of the latest arbitration hearing.

The members of the E-Board quickly and unanimously directed the Union President to begin the process of preparing for the campaign against the latest attempt by city staff and the Mayor to whittle away at firefighter compensation.
